The Adventure

Join us on paths less trodden, on a journey through flavour to discover the hidden gems of the world of spirits. It can be a confusing place but with us as your guide, there's no need to fear the unknown.

We’ll crunch through aromatic pine needles, breath in seaside botanicals, harvest wild agave and taste the notes of sweetness, smoke, fruit or spice that they create.

These are adventurous spirits for adventurous spirits.

The Distillers

Every month you’ll meet the distillers and hear their stories. Their successes and failures, foils and foibles that led to the glorious liquid on your lips. It might have started with grandad’s recipe, maybe a mistake in the kitchen or a bathtub batch stirred with a wooden spoon. No matter what, we want to know, and if you’re like us we know you do too.

The Liquid

The liquids you’ll discover from rum to whisky, gin to mezcal all started out the same - as grains, fruits or plants. Mouthwateringly exciting alone? No. But with a little water, heat and time, master distillers can unlock a multitude of delicious flavours. It all happens in the still.

Understand the process, the ingredients and the time that went into creating these bottles. Add in the mixers you receive to open up complementary flavours and subtle changes in the characters of the spirits.

We taste hundreds of bottles every month and only a few stand out - the ones that make us sit up, that are unlike anything else, or are the very best example of their kind. These are the spirits that make it into Off The Still, the essential bottles that you need to be drinking right now. You’ll also get a varied range over a 12-month period, including (but not limited to) whisky, rum, mezcal, vodka and brandy, all of which combine to form the elements of the perfect home bar.

The first payment will be taken as you decide to become a member, and from then payments are processed on the 15th of each month you’re due to receive your box.

We have partnered with Royal Mail who will deliver the box right to your door. If you’re not home they might leave it with a neighbour, in a safe place or retry delivery another time. You can also pick it up from your collection point if they left a note behind. You’ll receive an email from Royal Mail with your tracking details on the day of delivery.

If it’s your first box (in which case, welcome!) you’ll receive your box within 3-5 working days. After your welcome box, orders are processed on the 15th of each month and shipped within 3-5 working days - which means you’ll typically receive your box between 17-20th depending on how the month falls. Bare in mind sometimes it may take longer so please allow up to 10 working days for delivery as per Royal Mail delivery guidelines, and of course, if you have any questions just get in touch with our customer service team - they’re really great!

We will contact you as soon as a payment fails to go through, and then make 3-5 further payment attempts in the days following the first payment attempt. If it’s still unsuccessful your order for this month will not be processed and your subscription will remain active.

We do our best to make sure your drinks arrive in the best condition, but unfortunately packages sometimes get damaged in transit. Please take pictures of your damaged items and contact us as soon as possible so we can arrange for a replacement box or bottles - and please be careful with broken glass!

We hope you’ll love all the boxes you receive, but if for any reason you want to return a box, please send it back to us with the contents unopened and we’ll refund your payment. Please note you are responsible for postage, and we will only refund you when and if we receive the contents in a saleable condition.

If there’s anything we can do to make you reconsider cancelling, please do let us know. But if you’ve made up your mind, you need to cancel before the 15th of the month in order not to be charged for the next box. After this time, the boxes will have been packed and prepared for shipping so you will be charged, and will receive your box as normal. Cancellations are not final until you receive email confirmation.
